Research Conclusion

Having researched individually, as a group we came together and combined our findings to make one overall conclusion. We made a presentation together and a video of it can be found below, with our presentation embedded. We also made a survey to give to out audience to help us decide which would be the best song choice and also add to our research information.

The Survey 

Following our presentation to the class, we handed out the survey shown to the right. This survey was used as an aid to get information from people who all have different music preferences. The question asked allowed us to find out the most popular style of websites ,as well as the most liked style of the artist's appearance and also the preferred album cover styles. We also played the 2 possible song choices from our artist to see which was the most popular, from this we found that the song 'close to you' was the most liked by our class audience. However, from the feedback we also discovered that this song was not liked a lot, it was only voted the favourite due to the small variety of only 2 songs to pick from.
After a few days we then discovered that our artist had written and recorded a new song called 'joe' so we decided to listen to it. When we listened to it we immediately liked it a lot more and so did our peers when we gave them the opportunity to listen to it also. So from this we were able to clarify our song choice.
From our survey we also discovered that bolder websites, with

 vibrant colours tend to be better perceived and artists with a more individual look tend to be liked more. When it came to the findings regarding album covers we found that there was a split in opinion; abstract covers are just as popular as realist style covers. This gave us the opinion that we hopefully will be able to create either style of an album cover and it will be liked as much either way.

Findings
Overall we discovered that the Kate Nash album cover was the most liked; the styling of Ed Sherran was well liked; and the websites of Daughter and Ben Howard were found to be the most popular. We hope to use this information to now start developing our website and album cover.
